PARENT LETTER
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Family members,
Welcome to Vacation Bible School at Immanuel Baptist Church. We are excited to have your child join us this
summer. Please note the following procedures for checking your child in and out of VBS each day.
Check-in:
All children must be walked by an ADULT into the Worship Center each morning. Doors open at 8:30 am for
registration. The opening session begins at 9:00 am.
Pickup:
We are excited to utilize carline pick-up this year! Taking a page from our school systems, the security, and
efficiency of carline pickup are familiar to most families. We have carefully planned carline pickup, with
the children’s safety in mind, and to maximize efficiency for families. The pick-up will be long on Monday as the
children and adults learn the process. However, as the week progresses, the time will shorten considerably. Thank
you for your patience.
Authorized individuals MUST have a Parent Pick-up Tag supplied by Immanuel to pick up their children. Without a
pickup tag, parents will be directed out of line so our security volunteers can check a photo ID against the
authorized pickup list. Only after this security check is completed will parents be directed back into the pickup line.
Pick-up will not be allowed without the pickup tag or proper identification for the safety and security of the children.
Preschoolers and children will be dismissed from the Worship Center at 12:15 pm. The line for pickup will be
opened no earlier than 11:30 am. Prior to 11:30 am, the side and back roads/parking lots on campus will be closed for the safety of the children as they travel between buildings on campus.
If you need to pick up your child early or drop off a child late, please enter the church campus via ALBA St. and park in the parking area behind the Mattress Store. Go into the church office (tan cinder block building), and a volunteer will assist you.

Immanuel is a nut-free facility. No peanuts or peanut products will be served. Gluten-free products are available.

Santa Rosa County School District Free Lunch Program
Lunch will be available for children through age 18. Meals will be served in the Immanuel Activity Center (tan metal building by the playground) during the week of Vacation Bible School at 12:15 pm each day. Families who wish to participate will need to park in the Alba Street parking areas after picking up their child in the carline. Lunch is for children 18 years old and younger.
Lunch includes a sandwich, fruit, milk, and juice.
Parents or Guardians are responsible for taking their children to and from meals.
Mission Project
We will be collecting new hair brushes for Backpacks of Hope - a mission project of Immanuel Baptist Church that
provides a backpack, hygiene items, a pair of shoes, and other necessities free of charge to children in the Santa Rosa County community. Donations are greatly appreciated. Our goal is 500 tubes of toothpaste.
Coin Competition
Monday - Friday: The children will get to vote on who they want to get slimed on Sunday with the change/money they bring. The competition is between three fun and fabulous adult VBS leaders. The kids will place their offerings in the Immanuel foyer when they arrive in the morning. Each sand bucket will have a leader’s face on it to make voting easy. We will update the kids daily on who is winning that day.
All gifts go to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home and to BackPacks for Hope.
PICK-UP MAP
Exciting news...We are growing! Consequently, we will have construction on campus during VBS this year. But no worries!!! We will plan around it to keep everyone safe. A map and directions on the pickup route will be available soon. Please check back frequently.
FREE LUNCH PROVIDED
Monday - Friday, June 17th - 21st | Activity Center
Lunch is available through Santa Rosa County School District (Summer Free Lunch Program) for all children up to 18 years old. Lunch will begin at 12:15 pm after the conclusion of VBS, daily.
