PARENT LETTER

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Family members,

Welcome to Vacation Bible School at Immanuel Baptist Church. We are excited to have your child join us this
summer. Please note the following procedures for checking your child in and out of VBS each day (this information
is also available at www.ibcpace.com/VBS).
Check-in:
All children must be walked by an ADULT into the Worship Center each morning. Doors open at 8:30 am for
registration. Opening session begins at 9:00 am.

Pickup:
We are excited to utilize carline pick-up this year! Taking a page from our school systems, the security and
efficiency of carline pickup is familiar to most families. We have carefully planned carline pickup foremost with
children’s security in mind, but also to maximize efficiency for families. The pick-up will be long on Monday as the
children and adults learn the process. However, as the week progresses, the time will shorten considerably. Thank
you for your patience.

Authorized individuals MUST have a Parent Pick-up Tag supplied by Immanuel to pick up their children. Without a
pickup tag, parents will be directed out of line for our security volunteers to check a photo ID against the
authorized pickup list. Only after this security check is completed, will parents be directed back into the pickup line.
Pick-up will not be allowed without the pickup tag or proper identification for the safety and security of the children.

Pickup Directions: (pick-up map included on the back of this letter)
Please plan to enter the campus via the Hwy 90 light in front of the church. Remain in your vehicle, follow the signs,
and security personnel will assist you in the pick-up procedures. Please have your pick-up tag displayed and visible
for VBS personnel upon arriving at the church.

Preschoolers and children will be dismissed from the Worship Center at 12:15 pm. The line for pickup will be
opened no earlier than 11:30 AM. Prior to 11:30, the side and back roads/parking lots on campus will be closed for
the safety of the children as they travel between buildings on campus.
If you need to pick up your child early or drop off a child late, please enter the church campus via ALBA St. and park in the parking area behind the Mattress Store. Go into the church office (tan cinder block building) and a volunteer in the office will assist you.
